This folder contains the necessary ingredients to generate and modify a small illustration of how a randomized experiment can be used to estimate an average causal effect without bias.

PO in Experiment.R is the R-script that generates the figures 1.png to 5.png. You can tinker with that script if you want to adjust the figures (e.g., change the color scheme, change the distributions in the illustration,…).

Figure.pptx puts it all together in a PowerPoint file with some annotation. This may be useful if you are working in PowerPoint and want to copy the figures including additional annotation for your slides, or if you want to change the text in the figure etc.

Figure.pdf is just Figure.pptx exported as a PDF and Figure.png is the PNG version.

If you directly use these materials, it would be nice if you could acknowledge me as the creator (by: Julia M. Rohrer). If you just take the code and then do your own thing with it, I don’t think it’s necessary to acknowledge me — I don’t think this reaches the threshold of originality.
